The Chief Content Officer of the Company has overall responsibility for the effective operation of this policy and for the review and update of this policy. All contributors are responsible for their own compliance with this policy and for ensuring that it is consistently applied.
INTRODUCTION
1. This policy outlines the standards the Company requires of all those who contribute content to the Company. This policy applies regardless of the methods and/or mediums used to create content.
KEY PRINCIPLES
2. All those who contribute content to the Company must:
a) comply with the Company’s terms and conditions that are relevant to their contribution;
b) cause no adverse publicity, public criticism or damage to the reputation of the Company;
c) cause no material disruption to the business of the Company and/or its customers/clients;
d) ensure that all content that they create is their own original work and intellectual creation;
e) not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy, data or other proprietary rights of any third party or of the Company;
3. All those who create or edit content for the Company shall ensure that such content:
a) has not been compiled or created in a way which would or could result in a breach of any third party’s terms and conditions;
b) has not been compiled or created using or by reference to any third party content which is not intended to be used for commercial purposes; and
c) will not and is not likely to cause any loss or damage to the Company.
4. Content created for the Company shall not constitute or include:
a) a libel or slander or be offensive or indecent,
b) material which is or could constitute discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, gender or gender reassignment, disability, age or other sensitive characteristics; or
c) viruses, bugs, worms, spyware, Trojan horses, harmful codes or other form of defect or contamination which could cause temporary or permanent damage to or could otherwise impair or harm or cause the malfunction of the software or hardware of the Company or of any third party or which could otherwise bring the Company into disrepute or cause damage to the Company.
5. Content contributed to the Company that has been created involving the use of generative AI will be published in good faith. Contributors may refer to the Company’s AI policy as set out in its Code of Ethics.
