IPBC Global returns live and in-person to Seattle
London, 17 November 2021 – After a covid-induced absence last year, IPBC Global returned as an in-person event in Seattle, bringing together over 400 delegates from 20 different countries.
IPBC Global is the world’s leading event focusing on the business of IP and attracts senior leaders from the corporate and legal worlds, as well as investors, policy makers and service providers. Over three days, attendees enjoy unsurpassed networking opportunities and the chance to join high-level discussions around the key challenges facing those responsible for developing IP business strategies now and into the future.
The event opened at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on 14 November with an afternoon Leadership Forum, during which delegates heard from IP Hall of Fame inductees and Academy members on how they built their careers and learned to lead teams to success, as well as the lessons that they learned from the covid-19 pandemic.
Day two began with a keynote address from Tingfang Ji, the Senior Director of Engineering at Qualcomm, who provided an update on enabling an intelligently connected future with 5G Advanced on the path to 6G. The rest of the day covered a wide range of topics, from the price of chip patents to the importance of diversity.
The final day delivered a number of thought-provoking panel sessions, with questions about IP in the boardroom at the top of the agenda.
IPBC events will return in 2022 with IPBC Europe in London next March and then at IPBC Global once more in Chicago in June.
