World Wellbeing Week at LBR

With 21 June 2021 marking the start of the third annual World Wellbeing Week, we decided to take this opportunity to really focus in on employee wellbeing.

During this challenging period of lockdowns and heath concerns, the importance of personal wellbeing has never been more apparent.  Taking time to focus on and celebrate different aspects of wellbeing including financial, physical, emotional and mental health couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time.

How did we celebrate?

On Monday, we focused on financial wellbeing and shared some great tips on saving & budgeting and managing your personal finances from our Employee Assistance Programme partner, AXA.

On Tuesday, we will focused on physical and community wellbeing with the start of our 7 Day 50K sponsored walkathon in aid of Refuge, a charity that supports survivors of domestic abuse.

On Wednesday, we are partnered with the Mindfulness Project and arranged for an Introduction to Mindfulness session to take place for our employees to help them learn more about mindfulness and how it can act as a helpful tool to relax and destress.

On Thursday, our wonderful yoga partner, YuriYoga, led a special yoga session focusing on improving muscle and joint health, and relaxation to help equip our employees with techniques to help manage those aches that can stem from sitting for most of the day.

To top it all off, on Friday our Senior Leadership Team made the decision to give all our employees the day off work to focus on their own personal wellbeing – the perfect end to an action-packed week of events!

Why employee wellbeing matters to us

Here at LBR, our employees are at our greatest asset, and we constantly invest in our people to ensure that our clients receive superior value and service.

Taking time out to mark occasions like World Wellbeing Week and giving our employees the time and resources to focus on their wellbeing will always be central to our business goals.
